Electric Transmission Statistic : Transmission Sector is completely owned by government, where National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) in accordance with temporary law no. (64) For the year 2002 perform three kind of activities, transmitting electricity on high voltage lines, operating control system and bulk supply. NEPCO is the only company which cans Purchase Energy from Various Sources and Sell this energy.
Demand foe electricity is continued rising during year 2008 where the total peak load in Jordan reaches 2260 MW against 2160 MW in year 2007 with a growth rate of 4.6%.
NEPCO has increased its capacity through building and expansion the main substations and transmission lines.
